XCHG LONDON COMMUNITY COMMITMENTS
XCHG London is a purpose driven community where innovators, entrepreneurs and business people can inspire, be inspired, collaborate, and bring their ideas to life. We believe in respecting differences and collaborating to create a better world.
We want all members of our community to have a safe space to exchange ideas and nurture their mind, body, and soul. We want you to feel excited to arrive each day and feel energised when you depart.
We’ve created a set of house rules to help you to get the most out of our community and space.
We hope you are motivated by your experience!
Access and Security
Members can access the XCHG between the hours of 07.30 and 18.30 Monday to Friday. During these hours our community team are here to enhance your experience and would be delighted to answer any questions or assist with requests. Please speak to the team on site or send your request to [email protected].
Our touch-free technology will help you move quickly through the building. The 22B and the XCHG Apps are the centre of our community, a place to connect and collaborate with each other and learn about upcoming events, exhibitions, community updates, and lots of other useful information.
Our Apps are designed for phone, tablet, and desktop and are downloadable from the Apple App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
The Apps are for your personal use only and may not be copied or shared with another person or party. You should avoid allowing others to access 22B and XCHG. If someone follows you in without swiping their App, please make a member of the community team aware.
Please be advised that for security reasons, CCTV will be in operation in certain areas within the building.
Our coworking area offers a variety of seating options. We kindly ask you to take your belongings with you if you leave your seat for more than 15 minutes.
While you are using the XCHG, you are responsible for your personal property. The XCHG will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
For the safety and enjoyment of all of our community, we ask you to act in a respectful manner in the space and not to do, cause or permit anything that is reasonably likely to be disruptive or dangerous to us or any members, or our/their employees, guests, or property.
We recommend whilst making one-to-one audio and video calls from your desk that you consider either use of phone booths or a headset/air pods to cut down on the noise in the space.
For one-to-many or many-to-many audio and video calls (i.e., you are joining a call with several remote participants), please use your best judgement but consider booking a meeting room to avoid disrupting your colleagues.
Use of the XCHG space to conduct or pursue any illegal or offensive activities is strictly prohibited, and offensive, dangerous, hazardous, inflammable, or explosive materials are strictly prohibited. Members or guests who are of legal drinking age that choose to consume alcohol in the XCHG shall do so responsibly.
Members or guests may not operate any equipment in the XCHG that places excessive strain on our electrical, IT, HVAC or structural systems, with such determination to be made at our sole discretion.
For any items provided to you by the XCHG community team for temporary use, you will be responsible for replacement fees should any such property be lost, stolen or destroyed. You must not use the XCHG address to represent your business in any way.
We are unable to accept post or deliveries to the building.
Fire Safety
The fire alarm test takes place weekly at 10am every Thursday. As part of your onboarding process, our trained team will ensure you are made aware of the XCHG emergency procedures as well as the 22 Bishopsgate Evacuation Plan.
Day Passes
You are welcome to bring guests to the XCHG either as a delegate in one of our bookable meeting spaces or as a visitor on a pay as you go day pass.
Community members are responsible for their guests throughout their stay.
Day passes can also be purchased on a pay as you go tariff for use of the XCHG over and above any contracted membership level.
Pets
Unfortunately, due to the shared nature of the XCHG, we are unable to accommodate pets.
Wi-Fi
For Members or guests using the XCHG Wi-Fi, we require that their computers, tablets, mobile devices and other electronic equipment must be (a) kept up to date with the latest software updates provided by the software vendor and (b) kept clean of any malware, viruses, spyware, worms, Trojans, or anything that is designed to perform malicious, hostile and/or intrusive operations. We reserve the right to remove any device from our networks that poses a threat to our networks or users until the threat is remediated. If you need assistance with accessing the Wi-Fi please contact a member of the XCHG team.
Event Spaces and Meeting Rooms
Our fully serviced meeting rooms, auditorium, podcast studio, editing and video suites can be booked either on the XCHG App, by visiting www.xchgspaces.com or by speaking to a member of the XCHG team.
We also have various event spaces within the XCHG which can be booked to host your parties, award ceremonies, product launches, conferences, exhibitions and VIP events.
We offer a variety catering options which can be booked with at least 72 hours notice. Menu options are available upon request.
Booking Confirmation Policy: Bookings are secured only when a form of payment is provided via credit card or advance bank transfer. Please note that rates are exclusive of VAT.
Cancellation Policy:
30+ attendees : 30 Days prior to the booking - No Charges 20-29 Days prior to the booking - 50% of the entire booking+ One-off Admin Fee 10-19 Days prior to the booking- 80% of the entire booking 0-9 Days prior to the booking- 100% of the entire booking
29 or less attendees: 10 Days prior to the booking- No Charges 7 Days prior to the booking- 50% of the space rental 0 -6 Days prior to the booking- 100% of the entire booking
-All Cancellations are subject to VAT. -We refer to days as calendar days. -Catering to be ordered in line with the deadline noted on the menus. If this is missed, a late fee will be added to the booking as outlined on the menus. -The Admin Fee is to cover the work undertaken to plan the layout of the space, gather quotes, place orders etc. depending on the time spent to do the above and the value of the booking.
Refreshments
Within the XCHG we offer complimentary coffee, tea, still and sparkling water and fresh fruit for you to enjoy.
The Market on Level 2 is an additional building amenity and is the foodie heart of our building, a lively space filled with fantastic food, drink and inspiration.
Phone Booths
We have four phone booths specifically designed for you to take private calls rather than general working.
Active Commuter Park (ACP)
The ACP is designed to support and encourage the increasing number of people finding greener routes to work.
Bike racks for our cycling members are available on a first come first serve basis.
Please note we take no responsibility for any stolen or damaged bikes. Please do not leave bikes over the weekend.
Bike maintenance/wash stations, and a sustainable dry-cleaning service are also available.
Showers and changing area
Showers and changing rooms are available in the ACP. Shampoo, towels, and hair dryers are also provided.
Lockers
Daily use lockers are available in the ACP on a first come first serve basis. There are also lockers available within the XCHG. Please speak to a member of the XCHG team if require more information.
