Fire Evacuation Plan

FIRE ALARM PROCEDURE

The following procedures must be followed upon discovering a fire or hearing the fire alarm:

1.

DISCOVERING A FIRE

Should you discover a fire, the alarm should be raised by the activation of the nearest call point, as you exit the building and only if safe to do so. If you have visitors with you, instruct them to follow you.

Evacuate and disperse away from the building.

Close all doors behind you.

During the hours of 7:30am – 6:30pm Monday-Friday XCHG fire marshal(s) will take charge and begin the evacuation procedure.

ON HEARING THE FIRE ALARM

The Public Address and Voice Alarm system (PAVA) will advise you when you need to evacuate the building, by sounding the below message:

“Attention please, attention please. Please leave the building immediately. Please leave the building immediately by the nearest exit.”

Evacuate and disperse away from the building.

Close all doors behind you.

During the hours of 7:30am – 6:30pm Monday-Friday XCHG fire marshal(s) will take charge and begin the evacuation procedure.

DO NOT RETURN TO THE BUILDING FOR ANY REASON UNTIL AUTHORISED TO DO SO BY THE XCHG TEAM OR THE FIRE BRIGADE SERVICE.
